Write even when your Exhausted

Hello guys and gals of the blogosphere,

Have you ever experienced a time when your creativity was stocked up? It‘s horrible I’m telling you. Some people are capable of writing when they’re exhausted. I am not one of those people. For example, I try helping a student with their homework and I’m stuck looking at the problem for hours. Okay, maybe not hours, but how else would I express the mind numbing problem of exhaustion.

Anywho here are some things you can do to help you with this problem.

  1. drink something caffeinated

  2. exercise

  3. if you don’t have the motivation  find a buddy, ask your mother  to motivate you into doing what you need to do (seriously it works my mom is a personal trainer, so if I don’t want to work out I just go with her. Lets just say it’s easier to push yourself if you have somebody yelling in your face)

  4. remember why you started

  5. drink more caffeinated drinks (because why not?)

  6. Take a breather and start again when your brain is rested

  7. speak out loud (it’s okay as long as you don’t respond back and start talking in third person)

  8. compete with somebody

  9. stress about your deadline (…idk about that-specks)

  10. Get some sleep(some cool ideas come in dreams)

  11. finish your project because if you don’t you will only have to start again

  12. push yourself

Hope this helped, or provided a much-needed distraction. Till next time.

P.S.

If you’re wondering why there is this (… idk about that-specks) it’s my Little sister Rebecca aka Beck the Speck, or Specks for short. She doesn’t believe in deadlines or stress. But I’m the opposite…

I don’t like stressing because then ill just give up, u know like… quit?

-Specks

Sorry, she stole the computer and is challenged when it comes to typing. But back to what I was saying I’m the opposite stress makes me want to get it over quicker. So I don’t have to be stressed anymore. I’ll talk more about this tomorrow.

  1. First of all I would like to say excellent blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Cheers!

  2. Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My blog goes over a lot of the same subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other. If you are interested feel free to shoot me an email. I look forward to hearing from you! Excellent blog by the way!

    1. I personally don’t but I’m sure you could find forums if you search author blogs and forums. Theres this one site called Author Learning Center. They give advice and you can connect with fellow authors.
